My name is Derek and I have a cozy home at the end of a col de sac with a furnished room available for a few months this summer. It has a large back yard and garden.

My neighbor Thelma also hosts and recommended that I list my rooms, as they are well suited for Homestay guests.

I am American but especially familiar with Korean and Vietnamese culture. I have visited countries in Southeast Asia, and South America.

I frequently hike and backpack in the nearby mountains, especially in the summer. The natural beauty of the Pacific North West is unparalleled! I can definitely introduce you to the mountains and guide some hikes if you are interested in that sort of thing.

I work locally at an office a few minutes away, and typically return home to cook dinner. Most weekends I travel or am doing some activity.

General cleanliness is necessary. No smoking or pets in the house. The house is generally quiet and a good place to work or study. It is a pretty laid-back environment and I am friendly and helpful if you need anything.
