Homestay in Burien, United States
My husband and I share the house with our son and his girlfriend. We do have a couple of dogs and one cat, and that is more than enough. We have enjoyed having students stay with us, and anyone that can handle the at times noisy, but mostly quiet, and clean home!
Everybody is busy doing their own thing, but we celebrate birthdays, holidays, s
and often cook a family dinner on Sundays, and whenever we feel like it, by sharing a nice big meal with all of the fixings! You are welcome to join in as a way to get to know each other. We would love to share with you. We would be interested in having you cook a meal with us, or teach us to cook one of your favorite foods.
We have one room and it has a comfy Queen size bed, a tallboy dresser, a nightstand, and a large closet that has a laundry basket and hangers.
We are a 5 minute walk to the bus which can put you on the light rail train to either downtown Seattle, or directly to the University of Wash, which is less than an hour door to door. We promise you will be in Downtown Seattle in less than 45 minutes. Or if you have your own car you can park on the street. There are lots of stores within 5 minutes, and we are only 10 mins to SouthCenter Mall and two movie theaters, both AMC and a Regal Cinema. If you attend Highline College, it is 15 minutes by bus.
The homestay fee/rent is due every month on the 1st day of the month. It is $1000/month but includes WiFi, Internet, and use of the TV in the Living area when it’s not in use. You are always welcome to watch with us, if you are interested!!. We like to go on hikes, beautiful car rides and walks, and go play at the Ocean. We live in the Puget Sound Region, and we are surrounded by Water, and Mountains. You can boat, you can Paddle board, Kayak, or ride a ferry. You can go Skiing, or Snowboarding and be in the mountains, in less than an hour. So, even with COVID19, you can enjoy being outdoors, exploring our beautiful state, Washington, and enjoy a great time in school, and our family, and have an overall great experience!! Feel free to email us, or text, or call. Our info will be provided if you are interested. Number will be provided along with pictures of your room and the house. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Peace, and good health
